[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#401868: dbus applications crash when exiting xfce4-terminal instance (ppc)

Package: dbus
Version: 1.0.1-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

I have a weird bugreport to submit, which is not easily reproducible.
When following few steps involving running and quitting dbus apps, a
crash occurs in the apps which seems dbus related. I can only see this
on ppc, but other people can reproduce on ppc too.

For example:

1. run xchat
2. run xfce4-terminal (1)
3. run xfce4-terminal (2)
4. close xfce4-terminal (1)
5. close xfce4-terminal (2)
6. xchat crashes (segv)

The same thing happens with xfdesktop, or nm-applet, or
evolution-alarm-notify. I've reported the bug on Xfce bugzilla (as I'm a
member of pkg-xfce team) but upstream said the bug shouldn't be in
terminal but in dbus. See [1] for more informations.

As this bug only occurs in ppc (maybe big endian arches ?) it's not
easily reproducible, but still it's very annoying.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
