This show that your local machine is announcing link-local xmpp presence on
your networks..

So you can indeed announce services..

Seems like things work fine from an avahi perspective.. When do things go
wrong? As soon as you login or when you try talking to someone else or?

Also you empathy with telepathy-salut as backend, that should just work :)
