When upgrading my system today, early during the upgrade process, the
dbus system daemon was stopped. At this point, nm-applet disappeared
from my notification area (though the process was still running), and my
network connection went down.

25 minutes later, it came back up, which was fine, but it would be nice
if it hadn't gone down in the intervening time.
