Could you be a bit more verbose, what your actual problem is now?
Have you followed the instructions in README.Debian? Do you still get the
AccessDenied error messages from D-Bus? If you have added your user to group
netdev and reloaded dbus, this should have gone away and you should see the
nm-applet in the systray.
