[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#494985: Hald Segfault On Boot

Hi,

I experience the same problem with a different setup. It is a Lenny
installation on a laptop with Intel Core2Duo Mobile T7700 and amd64
architecture. I also had hald starting as last service without any
effect. I even removed it from the init process and started it by hand
after login. But this first start by me went all fine, hald was
running.

These are the error messages:
Aug 13 07:56:35 clad kernel: [   68.697504] hald[2979]: segfault at 0 ip 41c9be sp 7fff4a010830 error 4 in hald[400000+4d000]
Aug 14 07:24:13 clad kernel: [   42.539696] hald[2952]: segfault at 0 ip 41c9be sp 7fff2fabb660 error 4 in hald[400000+4d000]

I have no clou, I just restart hald and gdm on every boot. But that's
not the way I want to go on and I am willing to test ideas. I hope there
are more potential reports out there and the developers can help!
