NM uses wpasupplicant for connecting to wireless networks.

To debug this, please add

network={
	ssid="divenet"
	id_str="divenet"
	scan_ssid=1
	key_mgmt=NONE
}
to /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
and

iface eth2 inet manual
        wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

iface divenet inet dhcp

to /etc/network/interfaces.

Then stop a running NetworkManager instance /etc/init.d/network-manager 
stop and run

ifup eth2

Does that successfully connect to your wireless network?
