gnome-keyring prompts me to unlock my ssh private key, but I suppose
that's not the gnome keyring. gnome-keyring-manager works.

I wonder, I'm sure I've seen the option to always allow or always deny
an application access to the keyring, but I do not know where the
result of that is saved. I can't see it using keyring-manager nor
gconf-editor. Perhaps nm-applet is set to always deny?

A fresh user account worked fine.

nothing in xsession-errors and nothing suspicious in the output of
--no-daemon (attached with comments)
