[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#505637: network-manager: ipw2100/WEP WLAN connection randomly and sometimes freuquently drops out for a second

Sometimes quite frequently, my WLAN connection (ipw2100 on a Thinkpad
T40, using WEP) through N-M drops out (i.e. nm-applet shows zero
reception and the internet is down) for a second or two.

During this, I get the following in syslog:

Nov 14 00:06:35 nighthawk NetworkManager: <info>  Supplicant state changed: 0 
Nov 14 00:06:37 nighthawk NetworkManager: <info>  Supplicant state changed: 1 

Sometimes, this happens every few seconds, basically making the network
unusable.  I do not recall having this problem without N-M.  Note that
do not use WPA in the first place.
