I doubt it, but it is untested. (The wlan card isn't connecting properly
(driver issue, bug #504386)).

Yes. It should not be managed according to my interpretation of
/usr/share/doc/network-manager/README.Debian example 3. This is
unexpected and confusing behaviour. Either the documentation or
the behaviour or my interpretation needs fixing.
