Damn daemonization. 

I presume this one is started by gconfd, itself started by gnome-session
when reading its GConf settings.

We’ll have to check with gnome-session 2.26, but this may require
fiddling with the logic and ordering of the startup of daemons.

Or we can just fix the damn thing the right way by always starting
dbus-daemon if running gnome-session, as I have already suggested.

You can use .xsessionrc or .gnomerc for that.
