Hi Julien,
this is actually not a bug per se, but a upstream decision to behave exactly
this way. See [1] for upstreams opinion about this matter.
As I mostly agree with upstreams reasoning I don't plan to deviate from upstream
unless you have a valid use case why the old behavious should be retained.
