Hi Patrick,
this is a Xorg.0.log where hal has been disabled, i.e. it is not very useful
Could you try with a pristine xorg.conf as generated by "dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xorg).
I also find the list of loaded hid modules suspect

Do you have any custom configuration in /etc/modules or /etc/modprobe.d?
