kdm.

I have libpam-ck-connector and it is referenced from /etc/pam.d/kdm:

#
# /etc/pam.d/kdm - specify the PAM behaviour of kdm
#
auth       required     pam_nologin.so
auth       required     pam_env.so readenv=1
auth       required     pam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale
@include common-auth
session    required     pam_limits.so
session    optional     pam_ck_connector.so
@include common-account
@include common-password
@include common-session

Also, when reconfiguring libpam-ck-connector it tells me:

"pam-auth-update: Local modifications to /etc/pam.d/common-*, not updating."

So it's possible that there is some cruft in the PAM config.

Cheers,

Marcus
