Hi Adrian, please see the network-manager README.Debian about managed/unmanaged
modes. If you want to configure your device via /etc/network/interfaces *and*
manage the device with NM, then you have to set managed=true in
/etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf (and kill nm-system-settings)
Please let me know, if that fixes your problem.
