[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#538698: solved with hal/dbus/xserver-xorg reinstall

 os: debian/sid 2.6.27 and 2.6.30

we were able to solve this issue with a
  # apt-get install --reinstall hal dbus xserver-xorg

now the keyboard and mouse freezes when gdm is started (no kerbel panic),
which seems to be another issue.
