Package: avahi-daemon
Version: 0.6.25-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
the script "/usr/lib/avahi/avahi-daemon-check-dns.sh" is called during the boot sequence from "/etc/network/if-up.d/avahi-daemon". At some point the script reaches a call to "LC_ALL=C host -t soa local." which times out after some five or ten seconds. I have not yet investigated why this command is called, but this happens during each and every reboot and delays the whole sequence for a significant amount of time. I have seen that the script reads "/etc/resolv.conf", so I attached it for completeness.
Cheers,
Fabian
