[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#527846: consolekit: does not provide a init.d script (how do I restart the daemon?)

Package: consolekit
Version: 0.3.0-2
Severity: normal

Hi!

Debian Policy 9.3.2 [1] states that

| Packages that include daemons for system services should place
| scripts in /etc/init.d to start or stop services at boot time or
| during a change of runlevel.

[1] http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-opersys.html#s9.3.2

I cannot find any init.d script for /usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon,
which is apparently a daemon which is normally run as root.

As a consequence, I cannot understand what's the correct strategy
to restart the daemon, when I need to (e.g.: because checkrestart
suggests to do so, after a package upgrade).

Please provide an init.d script, if appropriate, or otherwise
document the recommended way to restart the daemon.
Thanks in advance.
