Hello.

I have not upgraded any part of X.org or KDE in a while, since I 
couldn't afford instability.  Now that the deadlines involved 
with that are past, I have been looking to upgrade.  Having read 
a bunch of threads about the KDE 3.5.x to 4.x transition, things 
related to DBus and HAL worry me.  HAL isn't involved in packages 
on my upgrade list, but I halted DBus upgrades a while ago, 
largely in response to 527872.

Is this something that people should be worried about?  The bug 
report hasn't changed in a while, which makes one wonder if this 
is going to be closed soon or not.

Any ideas or opinions would be nice.
