This smells more like a Xorg problem.
Is this problem reproducible?

What happens if you disable consolekit (mv /usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon
/usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon.disabled; killall consolek-kit-daemon), do you
still see the xorg restart?
