I built debian's dbus-glib 0.82-1 + patch from linked bug:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23297

And it resolves this issue already, I am able to configure system
connections in network manager. (I put the patch in debian/patches
and built the package with dpkg-buildpackage.) The patch is surely going
to be included upstream soon (or at least I hope that.)
