[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#568784: Networks not automatically connected when managed=true

Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.7.999-2
Following the upgrade in Testing today to NM version 0.7.999, I have
found that after system startup the Gnome applet no longer shows the
wired network as connected. It does list "ifupdown (eth0)" under the
heading "available" - which if I click then makes it 'connected'.
Note, I have, "managed=true" set
in /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf
And my wired network is listed in /etc/network/interfaces as:
allow-hotplug eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
Once connected, if I unplug the network cable, NM sees the connection as
lost. When I plug the cable back in, NM doesn't try and connect. The
previous version of NM would always automatically connect whenever the
computer was physically connected.
On a different note, I have also found that if I deselect "Enable
Wireless" this choice no longer persists across a reboot. Should I
create another bug report?
