[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#602716: Bad initialization of UMTS modem when returning from suspend

Hardware:
  Lenovo X301
  Intel Corporation Ultimate N WifFi Link 5300

I am using a SIM card with the PIN code disabled.
(With PIN enabled, network manager asks for the PIN code after
each suspend, which is a nuisance particularly for people who
don't use UMTS regularly).

The Network Manager initializes the wireless modem correctly
after boot and after hibernation.
However, after suspend-to-ram it does not re-initialize the
card properly and is unable to use it.

The log-entry in /var/log/syslog says:
  ... NetworkManager: <warn> GSM modem enable failed: (32) PH-SIM PIN required
