[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#605360: network-manager: fails to remove if /etc/network/interfaces doesn't exist

Hi, 

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to remove.

From the attached log:

  Removing network-manager ...
  invoke-rc.d: policy-rc.d denied execution of stop.
  sed: can't read /etc/network/interfaces: No such file or directory
  dpkg: error processing network-manager (--remove):
   subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 2
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   network-manager
0m22.5s DEBUG: Command failed (status=1), but ignoring error: 
['chroot', '/org/piuparts.debian.org/tmp/tmpGjaaYA', 'dpkg', '--remove', 'network-manager']

Installation is successful, though it also expects /etc/network/interfaces to 
exist, it seems:

  Setting up network-manager (0.8.1-4) ...
  invoke-rc.d: policy-rc.d denied execution of force-reload.
  Disabling interfaces configured with plain DHCP in /etc/network/interfaces 
so that NetworkManager can take them over
  cat: /etc/network/interfaces: No such file or directory
  Auto interfaces found:
  invoke-rc.d: policy-rc.d denied execution of start.

Failing to remove is normally serious, but not having /etc/network/interfaces 
is rather exotic, so I decided to go with important. I'd still appreciate if 
you could fix this in squeeeze!
