You were speaking of a regression.
Did you have a chance to test 0.8.1-6?

Looking at the backtrace, it might be modemmanager related.
If you don't use 3G/UMTS connections, could you try uninstalling modemmanager
(temporarily) and stopping it afterwards killall -TERM modem-manager
