Ho do you start virt-manager?
Do you start virt-manager as root or a regular user?

How did that happen that the users dbus files belong to root?

Did you use su / sudo ?

Please describe in more detail how you started virt-manager.

Does it help, if you move the /home/richard/.dbus directory away?
