[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#619343: screen still blinks

Package: upower
Version: 0.9.9-1~sid1
Severity: important
This looks related to #613745. When I run upower -m I get an endless
stream of:
[01:36:22.900] device removed: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
[01:36:23.971] device added: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
[01:36:23.971] device changed: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
[01:36:23.972] device changed: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
This means that the screen blinks every second (also stopping a mouse
selection in progress and generally driving me mad).
This also causes the issue reported in #606414.
Please advise, running upower currently makes my system basically
unusable.
