You can see it in the log which I have sent you.
The blinking and the disk writes are an effect of these uevents.
The blinking stopped (maybe as a side effect of upgrading something
else?  but I have not restarted X) but the uevents and the related disk
activity are still present.

This is an event captured with the power supply plugged in.
Voltage and charge do not change.
