[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#624159: network-manager: resolv.conf empty after booting

I'd like to confirm that I encounter this bug as well. It seems to
manifest it's ugly head when: 1. Network Manager does not manage the
network, and 2. The PC is set up in that everything is in static.

Changes made to the file either by hand or using System ->
Administration -> Network does not persist until next boot.

Currently my workaround is to add a line to rc.local which appends the
nameserver entry into the file on boot. Hardly elegant but gets the job
done until this bug is fixed.

I guess the other possible solution is to disable the Network Manager
daemon and/or remove Network Manager completely.
