Package: libpam-ck-connector
Version: 0.4.5-1
Severity: important

I manage my PAM modules using pam-auth-update. If I enable
libpam-ck-connector, when I enter my gnome-screensaver password (this is
in GNOME 3) there is a significant (at least 5 second) additional delay
before I am logged in. I expect a small delay since I use libpam-krb5
which must talk to the network. However, this delay from
libpam-ck-connector is much, much longer and is at times so long that
it actually causes the screensaver to time out.

There is a minor workaround, though: if when the password prompt comes
up, I hit escape to dismiss it and then bring up another password
prompt, the delay is much smaller. It is still noticeable, and still
annoying, but it's only a 5 second delay instead of a 30+ second delay.

I filed this bug as important because it makes it a crapshoot whether I
can log in. Being unable to log in to my laptop does diminish its
usefulness somewhat.
