Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.2.0-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When I need to connect to my wifi network, my access point is not
detected. This happens in the following situations:
- when I try to create a new wifi connection, using the knetworkmanager
front-end
- when the connection exists, but after a reboot
- when the connection exists, after waking up from hibernate

My SSID is 'khome'. When I run nmcli dev wifi, it is not seen.

When I run iwlist wlan0 scan, the access point DOES show up.

Now it is also recognized in network-manager.
I can create a new connection.
When the connection was already defined, it connects immediately.

This is the output from nmcli the first time:
root at jlinkels-lt:/home/jlinkels# nmcli dev wifi
SSID                              BSSID               MODE
FREQ       RATE       SIGNAL   SECURITY   ACTIVE
'caribinn'                        00:1A:70:7F:00:20   Infrastructure
2412 MHz   54 MB/s    25       --         no
'VillaFleur1'                     00:21:29:E1:0C:BE   Infrastructure
2452 MHz   54 MB/s    30       --         no
'sonos'                           68:7F:74:F1:87:61   Infrastructure
2437 MHz   54 MB/s    25       WPA        no

My own access point 'khome' is not shown.

Then I run iwlist: (irrelevant pieces cut out)
root at jlinkels-lt:/home/jlinkels# iwlist wlan0 scan
wlan0     Scan completed :
           Cell 01 - Address: 00:1A:70:7F:00:20
                     Channel:1
                     ESSID:"caribinn"
<snip>

           Cell 02 - Address: 68:7F:74:F1:87:61
                     Channel:6
                     ESSID:"sonos"
<snip>

           Cell 03 - Address: 00:21:29:E1:0C:BE
                     Channel:9
                     ESSID:"VillaFleur1"
<snip>

           Cell 04 - Address: 00:02:2D:60:78:C2
                     Channel:7
                     ESSID:"khome"
<snip>

And now runnin nmcli show my access point and connects immediately
root at jlinkels-lt:/home/jlinkels# nmcli dev wifi
SSID                              BSSID               MODE

'khome'                           00:02:2D:60:78:C2   Infrastructure
2442 MHz   11 MB/s    100      WEP        no
'caribinn'                        00:1A:70:7F:00:20   Infrastructure
2412 MHz   54 MB/s    22       --         no
'VillaFleur1'                     00:21:29:E1:0C:BE   Infrastructure
2452 MHz   54 MB/s    29       --         no
'sonos'                           68:7F:74:F1:87:61   Infrastructure
2437 MHz   54 MB/s    25       WPA        no
My own access point 'khome' appeared.
