Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.4.0-5
Severity: normal
Hi,
Since the update to 0.9.4 nm needs a restart to discover "hotplugged"
wwan devices. If I turn on the kill switch on my laptop or put in an
UMTS stick nm won't discover it until restarted. I verified that
restarting modemmanger isn't enough. nm needs to be restarted. After the
restart nm shows the wwan device as expected:
- Device: hso0 -----------------------------------------------------------------
Type: Mobile Broadband (GSM)
Driver: hso
State: disconnected
Default: no
Capabilities:
I'd be happy to provide more information or try 0.9.6 but since I'll
unlikely downgrade afterwards I wanted to check if you want me to
collect any more information.
Cheers,
