[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#559213:

Some of my Debian Squeeze machines seem to be affected by this bug.
Resident memory usage increases at a rate of about 60 MB per week and
logs are enormous in /var/log/ConsoleKit/history*.

About every 10 seconds, this entries are logged, repetitively:
1354339543.964 type=SEAT_ADDED : seat-id='Seat2769' seat-kind=1
1354339543.965 type=SEAT_SESSION_ADDED : seat-id='Seat2769'
session-id='Session2768' session-type='' session-x11-display=''
session-x11-display-device='' session-display-device='/dev/ssh'
session-remote-host-name='1.2.3.4' session-is-local=FALSE
session-unix-user=109
session-creation-time='2012-12-01T05:25:43.963138Z'
1354339543.972 type=SEAT_SESSION_REMOVED : seat-id='Seat2769'
session-id='Session2768' session-type='' session-x11-display=''
session-x11-display-device='' session-display-device='/dev/ssh'
session-remote-host-name='1.2.3.4' session-is-local=FALSE
session-unix-user=109
session-creation-time='2012-12-01T05:25:43.963138Z'
1354339543.973 type=SEAT_REMOVED : seat-id='Seat2769' seat-kind=1

It seems to be caused since I've implemented monitoring using
Nagios/Icinga over SSH and I do understand that it could trigger this
excessive logging. However, at least the memory leak should not be
present.

Affected package: consolekit 0.4.1-4 from main Debian Squeeze repositories.

I think this is the same issue as Ubuntu LP #232557
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/consolekit/+bug/232557)
Ubuntu claims to have this fixed by applying the following upstream
patch: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/ConsoleKit/commit/?id=7b9212fa6aff55420c58f2cacd0a941762920337

Wheezy shouldn't be affected as it seems to include this upstream commit.
