I've switched udisks in Debian over to use dosfslabel again, as it seems
to work at least equally well (or bad).
I did a few tests using German umlauts with both mlabel and dosfslabel.
While those labels properly show up under Linux, under Windows they
don't and I only get garbage.
So it seems dofslabel is not really better in that regard, but also not
worse.
