I think we all agree that from a user point of view we can't have a
password required to connect to a wireless network.
On my side I get an extra bit of annoyance, as @home when I'm far from
the AP NM will try to connect, fail (because of the bad link) assume
it's because the password is wrong (wtf?), ask for the password again
(hence), ask for my user password, then the wifi password, then my user
password ...quite annoying.
anyway, in Fedora 17 this is what they have:
