You are using systemd, right?
systemd doesn't throw away the log messages from dbus-daemon but logs it
to syslog instead.
You can change that by modifying /lib/systemd/system/dbus.service and
modifying StandardOutput/StandardError (man systemd.exec)
I wouldn't recommend that though.
