I have a similar problem. Inserting of some burned CD/DVDs leads to this error:

But this error I get only after fresh boot. After laptop waking up from suspend
state, inserting of CD causes complete kernel freeze (even SysRq does not
work). I have tried also standard squeeze kernel linux-image-2.6.32-5-686, but
no luck :(
