Hi,
I use this configuration because I like NM to manage my eth0 but I want to
be able to attach qemu vm to bridge, so br0 starts witn no ports and this
can make a difference.
Now I see NM can manage bridges so I wish to do tests.
In short, this is extracted from my /etc/network/interfaces.
# Bridge setup
auto br0
iface br0 inet static
address 10.10.25.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
broadcast 10.10.25.255
hwaddress ether 62:aa:af:24:cf:8f
#bridge_ports mac0
bridge_ports none # if you do not want to bind to any ports
bridge_stp off # disable Spanning Tree Protocol
bridge_waitport 0 # no delay before a port becomes available
bridge_fd 0 # no forwarding delay
bridge_ports regex eth* # use a regular expression to define ports
up sysctl -w net.ipv4.conf.br0.proxy_arp=1
Bye
