No.

I have just finished installing yet another virtual machine (this time using Virt-Manager in Kubuntu), no extra 
packages, just "KDE" and "SSH Server" tasks selected. First login into desktop - and it's the same.

Have you tried brand-new installation using Jessie RC1 install image?
