I also experienced these errors after upgrading a couple of laptops from
Wheezy to Jessie (basically, when attempting to connect to established
access points which have been used without issue for ages, a connection
failed dialog appears with the original report's libnm-glib error).
I seem to have fixed the issue by the somewhat drastic steps of
sudo apt-get purge network-manager-gnome network-manager
sudo rm -r -f /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections
rm -r -f ~/.gconf/system/networking/wireless/networks
sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome network-manager gnome
Then when you try and connect... well it still fails but if you go and
edit the connection information to enter the password. Then it connects
(reliably, even after reboots).
I note Wheezy's behaviour of prompting for a password on the first
attempt to connect to an access point which needs one seems to have
completely vanished. (In fact I suspect this libnm error dialog is
appearing at the point at which the system is trying to prompt the user
for a wifi password).
FWIW I use Gnome "Flashback" and the issue was seen on a Lenovo S10e and
a Thinkpad X40.
