Package: network-manager-gnome
Followup-For: Bug #784896

Dear Maintainer,

This only affects GNOME flashback, but not only VPN:

The problem was that when I wanted to connect to a WiFi network (which
was of course password protected) it started out by not picking up the
passwords I had saved in my keyring. Instead it produced the following
error: "(1) Creating object for path
'/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/1' failed in
libnm-glib." When I opened the network's profile, entered the password
it did connect. Although only once.

Second, when I wanted to connect a VPN profile, which was set to always
ask the password, the applet didn't produce the dialog box in which I
could enter the password required. I was not able to find any error
related to this.

Workaround:
To resolve this I tried to install the network-manager-gnome package
from unstable (1.0.0-3) and after I restarted my machine, presto!
