Good catch, I'll fix that in the next upload.
For context, those symlinks are there so that after upgrading
dbus-daemon to a version that moves the bus setup (which is not actually
intended to be edited) to /usr, the old version (which only reads from
/etc) can continue to reload setup and configuration until the next
reboot, so that newly-installed D-Bus services can work without a reboot.
If you're removing or purging dbus altogether, backwards compatibility
has obviously gone altogether, and those symlinks can be removed.
