[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#841931: static IP stuck

Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.10.0-7
Severity: important

The system where this problem is being observed is a laptop running
jessie with the default GNOME 3 desktop.

Normally it is used with default DHCP settings.

The laptop visited a data center recently and was connected directly
into the switch. A public IP address was statically configured on the
laptop using the GNOME network settings UI

When the data center visit was over, the network settings menu option
was changed from static back to DHCP.

However, every time the laptop is plugged into a wired network now, the
interface is activated with the static IP and default route from the
data center as well as getting an address with DHCP. It ignores the
default route/gateway from DHCP and tries to use the default route that
it was using in the data center.

The settings can be removed manually with the "ip" command, but whenever
it is reconnected to the wired network, those settings come back again.
