[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#838567: network-manager-gnome: segfault 15 when importing openvpn vpn profile config

Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.9.10.0-2
Severity: normal
I installed openvpn and network-manager-openvpn-gnome on Jessie. I
downloaded an autologin profile in .ovpn format from my remote openvpn
access server. When running 'openvpn --config <the.ovpn>' the tunnel is
built and works. When importing 'the.ovpn' via nm-connection-editor
through network-manager a segfault error 15 is reliably encountered.

I ran network-manager via gdb but I admittedly have never used gdb or
submitted a bug report before so I've probably missed some steps:
(gdb) exec-file /usr/sbin/NetworkManager --debug
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/sbin/NetworkManager
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1".
[Inferior 1 (process 26742) exited normally]
(gdb) exec-file /usr/bin/nm-connection-editor
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/nm-connection-editor
