Package: policykit-1
Version: 0.105-17
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where
appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
Could not start synaptic via the LXDE menu (nothing happens); try to
start it from the command line using:
$ synaptic-pkexec
==== AUTHENTICATING FOR com.ubuntu.pkexec.synaptic ===
Authentication is required to run the Synaptic Package Manager
Authenticating as: root
Password:
polkit-agent-helper-1: error response to PolicyKit daemon:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: No session for cookie
==== AUTHENTICATION FAILED ===
Error executing command as another user: Not authorized

This incident has been reported.

Others authentication problems exist:
when trying to mount an internal partition from pcmanfm/lxde, a error
message is displayed "not authorized to perform operation" (should ask
for the root password).

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
