Package: network-manager-openvpn-gnome
Version: 0.9.10.0-1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer,
I have a pk12 package file generated by pfSense to configure the OpenVPN
client with. When I attempt to import the file into the Network Manager
OpenVPN GUI, I am forced to enter a private key password, even though the
private key has NO password. This results in the OpenVPN client failing to
connect. I tried specifying a bogus password to force the client to display
a password prompt where I could hopefully enter a blank password, but that
doesn't happen - the connection silently fails. The Save button will not
become active without entering a password. I'm sure this is not a
configuration issue with the OpenVPN server, because the Windows OpenVPN
client will connect to the server and pass traffic even without a
key password.
