Ok - I have managed to complete the testing on Stretch - I can confirm
the issue and can confirm the resolution via removing the
dbus-run-session prefix in the budgie-desktop package.

Please can this bug-report be reassigned against the budgie-desktop
package so that I can close it with a new bug-fix upload.
