Hi,
This bug report was a few years ago and doesn't have enough information to
diagnose what is going wrong. From the fact that I haven't received lots of
bug reports about KDE not working, I suspect it was specific to something
about your system rather than a generic bug that affects lots of people.

Does this problem still appear in a current Debian release?

(If it does, I will need to see some system logs to be able to get
anywhere with diagnosing it.)
