Package: policykit-1
Version: 0.105-17
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

   Regression - update from 0.105-11

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

     Installed gui agent

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Both lxsession and policykit-1-gnome granted expected
     authentication.

The failure has an auth.log entry "Operator of unix-session:1 FAILED to authenticate
Error executing command as another user: Not Authorized

I would paste in the full errors, but apparently etch's vim no longer supports the cutbuffer.
