Yes,
I should have thought about it.
ldd showed that dbus-daemon used an old libexpat1 of another software.
I changed the order in /etc/ld.so.conf.d and now all works fine.
I do not know why it happened because the machine is very stable and I
apply only security updates, and I do not update the guilty software
for years.
