So, while I can't reproduce this particular issue, there is this
particular upstream commit:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/commit/d2b4a6c35b3b2d744dcb311d7d7fd5378e7b21c7
which we might cherry-pick to alleviate the problem.

That said, I'm surprised that this connectivity check is attempted 8000
times per minute. That doesn't look right.
